Position opening: Two assistant professors (POSITIONS CLOSED)

The VU University Amsterdam has two positions available for qualified assistant professors at the department of Business Administration, section Knowledge, Information and Networks (KIN).

As part of a group of researchers, the candidate conducts research to develop and test theories related to information technology in networked organizational processes. Furthermore, the candidate contributes to teaching in the field of information technology. The candidate coordinates and/or teaches courses on the usage of information system technology within and between network organizations. The candidate has teaching experience on topics such as management information systems, information system strategy, network management and control, information system development and implementation, and e-business. The assistant professor will enroll in the “tenure track system” of the faculty.

Tasks

  • Carry out research that is publishable in top international scientific journals.
  • Contribute to teaching and supervising theses in the Business Administration bachelors and master curricula.
  • Participate in the acquisition of externally funded research projects.
  • Contribute to management tasks.

Requirements

  • Excellent research and writing skills, as evidenced by a PhD in one of the social sciences such as business administration, communication science, or economics.
  • Publications in international journals.
  • Teaching experience, with good evaluations.
